You are free to share as little or as much as you are comfortable with during our consultation. I may ask some clarifying questions along the way to help me better understand your experiences and what brings you to therapy.
I will also take some time to share a bit about myself, my therapeutic approach, and what you can expect when working with me. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Most importantly, the consultation is an opportunity for you to determine whether we will be a good fit to work together. If it feels like the right fit, we can schedule your first session before the consultation ends.
I offer both in-person sessions in the Windsor-Essex area, or virtual sessions across Ontario. We can also do a mixture of both - depending on your schedule.
I accept direct billing from many different insurance companies. These include:
Medavie Blue Cross
Canada Life/Great-West Life
Equitable Life of Canada

50-minute individual session - $175
50-minute couples session - $190
50-minute family session - $190
A first session with me tends to move fairly quickly, as I ask a range of structured questions regarding areas such as sleep, medications, family history, and current coping strategies. The purpose of this is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your experiences so I can support you from a holistic and individualized perspective.
To protect your confidentiality and ensure objective, high-quality care that focuses on your specific goals, I do NOT provide simultaneous individual and family/couples therapy, as managing these dual relationships can create a conflict of interest. Instead, I can offer you a referral to either another individual therapist, or a couples/family therapist.
I cannot offer you a formal mental health diagnosis. Per regulatory guidelines, issuing a formal clinical diagnosis is a controlled act reserved for specific healthcare professionals, such as psychologists and physicians. However, I can conduct a thorough clinical assessment to gain a deeper understanding of your symptoms, history, and goals. Using these insights, I can build a highly customized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. I want to know you as a whole person, not as a label.
If, through our work together, I find that a formal diagnosis (such as anxiety, ADHD, autism, etc.) would benefit your care, I will gently guide you through the process of getting an official evaluation from a licensed professional.
